What is the difference between infrared lamp and halogen lamp

Infrared quartz lamp, which is composed of fused quartz tube and radiating elements, is mainly used for industrial heating or drying, such as glass products, metal parts, circuit board packaging, films, and other drying, drying and heating. Its advantages are clean, no accessories, easy installation, temperature control, etc. Quartz near-infrared and far-infrared lamps use bright or semi bright quartz glass as the lamp shell to make near-infrared or far-infrared radiation spectrum lines. Double tube near-infrared lamps can be selected on Heidelberg printing press.

For halogen bulb, the big difference between halogen bulb and incandescent lamp lies in one point, that is, the glass shell of halogen lamp is filled with some halogen element gas (usually iodine or bromine). Its working principle is: when the filament has a fever, tungsten atoms are evaporated and move towards the target of glass tube wall. When it is close to the glass tube wall, tungsten vapor is cooled to 800 ℃ and fused with halogen atoms, resulting in tungsten halide (tungsten iodide or tungsten bromide). Tungsten halide continues to move towards the center of the glass tube and returns to the oxidized filament from the beginning. As tungsten halide is a very unstable compound, it will decompose into halogen vapor and tungsten from the beginning after encountering heat, so tungsten will precipitate on the filament to fill the evaporated part. Through this regeneration cycle process, the service life of the filament has not only been greatly extended (almost four times that of incandescent lamps), but also because the filament can work at a higher temperature, it has higher brightness, higher color flexibility and higher luminous efficiency.

Because halogen bulbs need to work at a higher temperature, the ordinary glass shell will melt and flow at this temperature, so fused quartz glass is used in halogen bulbs instead of ordinary glass. Because ordinary glass can separate ultraviolet light, but quartz glass cannot. Based on the characteristics of quartz glass, if the glass tube wall is contaminated with oil (such as touching the glass shell of the bulb with your hand), It will cause the above regeneration cycle process to not be completed satisfactorily, which will greatly affect the service life of the bulb. It needs to be eliminated with alcohol.
